Pineapple sundae sound super for the hot CA weather at the moment :)

Couldn't agree more about tropical fruit like the one in Indonesia. Lucky for us who actually live in CA (at least where I live), they start to carry all of them including rambutan. Perhaps, they will soon reach Oregon as well.

Elra, I heard California weather is excruciatingly hot hot hot! My parents live in So Cal so they complain from to me from time to time :) But it's also hot here for 2 days with 80-90's temp. The day the rambutan arrive in Oregon, the day I will buy them every week :)

Eliza,
Is the texture of coconut ice similar to "es doger"?

I believe so. I'm ashamed to say that I forget how es doger's texture is, I believe it's not as smooth because it's not a custard base right? This would be the same then, because it's just coconut milk. I think I like fresh coconut milk better for this ice cream though.
